About 33.9
33.9 is a brand of sneakers that embodies the energy of the dreamer who never quits. In 1969, legendary American basketball coach Bill Musselman wrote and published a book called 33.9 which focused on his creation of the nations’ number one defense. The sneakers are named in honor of Musselman’s record-breaking NCAA season when the opposing team averaged only 33.9 points per game. The brand is a tribute to Musselman’s unwavering belief that anything is possible. He believed in the longshot.

FOUNDERS
The sneaker line 33.9 was co-founded by Nicole Musselman – founder and CEO of fashion line KOCH – and her son Henry Boykin – a high school junior at St. Marks School of Texas. 33.9 is inspired by Nicole’s father Bill Musselman. Musselman was a basketball coach, in the NBA and NCAA who passed away in 2000. In honor of his grandfather, Henry came up with this brand concept during the summer of 2020. Henry, an athlete himself, said, “Coming from a family of athletes and fashion designers, I wanted to create something that would appeal to both, so I thought what a better idea than create a brand with my mom.”
